Abstrak

Peran konselor sekolah di era digital mengalami transformasi yang signifikan, menuntut profesionalisme dan adaptabilitas yang tinggi. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi tantangan utama yang dihadapi guru Bimbingan dan Konseling (BK) di SMA Negeri 5 Gorontalo, mengeksplorasi peran guru BK dalam menghadapi isu-isu kontemporer siswa, mengkaji pemanfaatan teknologi dalam layanan konseling, serta membandingkan peran dan profesionalisme konselor sekolah di Indonesia dan Amerika Serikat. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan wawancara mendalam terhadap tiga guru BK, observasi partisipatif, serta studi dokumentasi, yang dianalisis melalui model Miles dan Huberman serta pendekatan Comprehensive Literature Review. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa guru BK menghadapi stigma negatif, tidak adanya standar layanan yang jelas, serta beban kerja tinggi. Meski demikian, mereka mampu mengembangkan pendekatan kolaboratif dalam menangani isu bullying serta berinovasi melalui integrasi teknologi sederhana seperti WhatsApp, Zoom, dan Google Site.
